This method of inspecting parts is my favaourite, since it does all the work for you. This conventional CMM has a far better accuracy than the new portable CMM's, however programming is alot more difficult and time consuming. I will be getting another CMM in the next 2 years with toolchanger and laser scanning head, I will also be moving over to POLYWORKS software as I have already with my ROMER portable CMM. I use PC-DMIS software to run this machine.
